Vega OS compatible apps need a version built for Amazon’s new platform. Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Apple TV, and Max have confirmed support, while Android APK versions of Downloader, Kodi, Stremio, and other apps cannot be installed.
How to read this compatibility list
- Confirmed: Amazon or the provider explicitly supports Vega.
- In development: the creator announced a version, but it should not be treated as available yet.
- APK incompatible: the Android version cannot run; a future native Vega version could change that.
- Check your region: a Fire TV app or availability report exists, but not enough precise regional evidence to promise Vega support everywhere.
We do not mark an app compatible merely because it runs on Fire OS. Vega OS is not Android and requires a different build.

“Check” does not mean the app is unavailable. It means catalogs change and we found no sufficiently precise official statement to promise it on every Vega device and market.

Use IPTV only with playlists and services you are authorized to watch. An app’s presence in a store does not grant rights to third-party content.

How to verify an app before buying
- Search Amazon Appstore on the Vega device.
- Verify the developer name and avoid clones.
- Search the service’s official help center for “Vega OS.”
- Confirm that your country is supported.
- If the app is essential, check before the Fire TV return period ends.
Does every Fire TV app work on Vega?
No. “Available for Fire TV” may refer only to Fire OS. The provider must release a Vega build, and Amazon must offer it for your device and region. Older listings and guides that omit the model can therefore be misleading.
